Eastern Rain

A tune about a man driven to leave the east coast (and his life there) for the promise of a California day, a new life, and a chance to pursue his dreams.

Tom had this song in rough form when we first formed the band. We kept thinking we should add more parts to it, but nothing ever came to be. We almost scrapped the song altogether.. but I was insistent that we could make it into something. As it turned out, it's my personal favorite of all the tunes. It's the only song where all three of us actually sat down and collaborated on the lyrics.
